Zack Grelling

Zack accepted Jesus Christ at 7 years old. Before Grace, he lived overseas as an English teacher in Hanoi, Vietnam. Zack has a deep passion for culture and for people who have never heard the saving message of Jesus Christ! This passion has taken him all over the place! While visiting Central America (El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala) as a senior in high school, he realized that he wanted to dedicate his life to serving people after working with land mine victims of guerrilla warfare in El Salvador. From there, he spent his following summers in Vietnam teaching summer school and working for orphanages in Japan before resettling once again in Vietnam, this time for 2 ½ years. Currently, Zack works at Grace Church as the Children’s Director and has been a member since 2005.
Oralia Cuellar
Oralia’s passion is sharing the gospel with small children. She is the first grade Sunday school teacher at Grace. She is married to a Christian man who loves our Lord. His name is Berni Cuellar. They have been married for 29 years and have one son. Their son, Berni Cuellar, is also a Christian and Oralia takes joy in knowing that he loves our Lord.
Oralia was born in Nicaragua, Central America. At the age of 4, her grandmother began teaching her about Jesus because she was a Christian. Oralia had a problem though; her mother was Catholic and put her in Catholic school. Every Sunday she used to take her to mass at 7:00 a.m. and then at 9:00 a.m. her father would take her to Sunday school. Oralia remembered her grandmother waking her up early in the morning to pray with her that her mother would come to Jesus one day. Thanks to our Lord’s mercy, a few years later her mother came to know Jesus. Oralia asked for forgiveness and accepted Jesus into her heart at the age of 6 with Brother Pablo (a USA missionary) in an evangelical campaign. At the age of 14 she was baptized the same day as was her mother. Oralia is excited about going to Hong Kong. She wants to give a little of the abundant love and joy that she received from Jesus as a child to those living in Hong Kong. She says “one person came to my country and shared God’s love and joy and taught us the gospel, now I know the Lord. This is the reason that I want to do this with others and follow Jesus commandment to go to the world and teach.”
Brad Kear
Brad accepted Christ as his Savior as a young child. He has been a member at Grace since 1991. Formerly, he was involved in several Grace Small Groups and served on the elder board from 1993-1997. Brad is married to Rita, and they have three children, Kelsie, Casey, and Zak. Brad has been employed by the Azusa Unified School District for the past 14 years.
Casey Kear
Casey was born July 26, 1988 to Brad and Rita Kear. He has two siblings, Kelsie and Zak. He accepted Christ at age 5 with his dad. Casey has grown up at Grace Church attending with his family since he was 2 years old and most recently serving as the churches Children’s Ministry Intern last summer. He is now a sophomore biblical studies major at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, Ca, where he is a member of the cross country and track and field teams as well as an on-campus bible study leader. Casey plans on going into full-time ministry after graduation.
Bethany Uyboco
Bethany has grown up in a Christian home for 15 years now and has attended Grace Church all her life. Her parents are John and Jenny Uyboco and her two siblings are Alina and Caleb. Bethany is currently a sophomore at Glendora High School where she is part of the Christian Club board as the Sophomore Representative. Bethany also enjoys playing soccer at the high school. God has given her a heart of compassion and care for other people so she is very glad to be going on this trip. Bethany is excited for this year’s trip to Hong Kong as it is her first big mission trip. She is also excited that her team will be able to share with people the wonderful gift God has given us. Bethany says, “I know God will teach our team many new things about Himself on this trip!”

This is exciting. It is even more exciting to see you leading others on this Glocal ministry.
A word of warning. If you climb a volcano, don’t take any old guys with you!

Grelling!! Dude, can’t wait to hear some awesome stories when you return! Hopefully that means that people come to Jesus…not that you ripped your pants…or crashed a motor vehicle of some sort…or whatever.
I’ll be thinking of you and praying for safe travels, the Lord’s favor, and the Holy Spirit’s guidance while you’re there.
Peace,
Buttrey
